We increasingly see deployment of applications and services provisioned by underlying gigabit broadband. This is enabling people, machines, and applications to collaborate effectively and intelligently in order to enhance quality of life, improve mobility, grow economies and empower decision-making. Fiber-optic broadband infrastructure continues to be deployed throughout the world – there are 20+ markets with at least 50 percent fiber coverage, and 8+ markets with more than 90 percent. We expect fiber rollout to expand to more markets, as non-telco operators such as utilities, municipalities and private equity firms are also now investing in fiber infrastructure.
